Using the Metro There are all sorts of apps; you can put in a starting point and a destination, including Google Maps.  My husband was fond of “Paris Metro Map and Planner” by Mapway, found at Play Store for Android. If you won’t have a phone, you can buy a metro maps from Amazon or wait until you get to Paris and you can find one for free.  I liked having one ahead of time so I could plan out our routes before we got there. Paris - Plane Trip from Atlanta

Traveling to Paris by Plane From Atlanta: Be forewarned, you might experience jet lag since Paris is six hours ahead of the Eastern Time zone.  We chose to travel through the night. The main reason was so we could arrive at the hotel after check in time and go straight to our room to rest if need be.  As it turned out, we had a nonstop flight from Atlanta and were able to sleep for a bit on the plane. Paris - Transportation from Airport

Transportation to Hotel from Airport (CDG) My research told me that taxis would be around $80 Euros, about $100 in US.  By the way, you DO tip taxi drivers in Europe. (15-20%). And most do not accept credit cards.   You have your choice of public transportation:  Metro (subway), buses, Regional Trains (RER). With a combination of reading the hotel feedback (reviews) and google map, I was able to trace a route using the regional trains (RER).  The RER is a little more expensive than the metro
